To realize his “Star Fish” series, which showcases rare fish, Parisian photographer Matthieu Sorey Garnier has tinkered with a real ecosystem. Composed of a black background, a home-made aquarium and studio lights, this one highlights in a striking way the peculiar features of the selected species, and every detail is sifted, from the flowerhorn’s ridge to the jowls of the oranda.
