Blue Crow Media is an independent publisher founded in 2009 by Derek Lamberton, creating city maps that are both detailed and aesthetically pleasing. Having started with a series of city plans and applications on selected places where visitors could eat and drink, the company has been focusing since 2015 on guides based on urban architecture and design of each city concerned. Most of their guides celebrate brutalist architecture and raw designs such as concrete from London to Tokyo. Their first brutalist wall calendar features buildings designed by Le Corbusier, Breuer and Rudolph, whose clichés have been captured by leading photographers. They also released an architectural guide about Art Deco in New York, presenting more than 65 monuments, from the most famous to the hidden jewels of the Big Apple.
