
Emoji Crush is a short movie telling a tragic love story in emojis : the encounter, the love, the exchanged messages, the dates in restaurants and the car accident that will be mortal for one of the characters because of a text message. In reality, this video is a Belgian campaign launched by the OVK (a parents association that fights for road safety) to encourage people to never use their smartphone while they’re driving. In Belgium, 239 people are victims of car accidents, each year, because of a text message typed while driving. This short movie was broadcast in 495 cinemas, from the 29th April to 5th May 2015.
