Ranked second at Eurovision, Barbara Pravi continues her rise and finally unveils her debut album On n’enferme pas les oiseaux. With her latest track and video, Saute, she completes the triptych begun with Voilà, presented in the form of an 11-minute mini-movie.
For those who thought she was predictable, Barbara surprises again. Saute, a multicultural-sounding track reflecting the cultural richness of her family, is a departure from her usual register: it’s a tasty mix of pop and oriental tones.
Barbara Pravi grew up in a family where the mix of cultures was strong and harmonious: parents born in France, grandparents of Serbian and Iranian origin, Blackfoot Jews and Poles. This openness to tolerance, at the heart of a fundamentally ethical upbringing, determines one of the defining traits of his character along with a desire for independence.
On Instagram, the singer thanked her fans as consecration arrives with the release of the album: “Thank you for giving me the chance to do the one thing that motivates me: live and write to sing stories to you.”
