French photographer Kares Le Roy went on a road trip in the Persian and Central Asian steppes to document the last nomad peoples and their fascinating ethnic groups. His friend and film director Greg Mirzoyan joined along the way, and both have been able to follow the Berkutchis, those who hunt with eagles. These men, last representant of a very ancient tradition, are passing this art of hunting from father to son. This documentary, called “BERKUTCHI – Falconer, passed down from father to son”, is a moving and stunning homage to this long-lost culture.
