Directed by Peter Landesman and expected for the 2nd March in France, Concussion tells the story of doctor Bennet Omalu (played by Will Smith) who was the first to discover the chronic traumatic encephalopathy on an American football player. Because of many head traumas caused by this kind of sports’ practice, the symptoms of this neurodegenerative disease lead to memory, behavior and mood troubles. It often evolves into an insane, depressive and violent state without any understanding for the subject and his peers. In the casting, we find Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Alec Baldwin and Luke Wilson.
