Gaspard Augé, half of the duo Justice, is launching his solo career with a first video and track, Force Majeure, teasing his upcoming album “Escapades”. After nearly 20 years in the company of Xavier de Rosnay, the 41-year-old musician is having “his midlife crisis” with panache. The director, Filip Nilsson – who had already signed Justice’s Heavy Metal video – looks back on the shoot, which took place in a blacksmith’s shop: “Once we visited the cymbal factory together in the suburbs of Istanbul, everything became obvious. It was like going back in time. It was exactly what we wanted. A timeless video for a timeless song and record. Seeing Gaspard play with the best cymbalists in the world was very moving.”
