Kiddy Smile is back! Emblematic figure of the French ballroom scene, the singer unveils “Spread it”, a house banger inspired by the French touch which mixes melancholy and a topical text. A track on which to dance relentlessly but which is also an outlet, capable of moving us to tears. In the video, Kiddy tackles the French scourge of police violence against racialised and queer people. In a political climate that could not be more tense, with reactionary ideas running through all political parties, the singer and dancer prefers to weave the praise of a France that fights, of an effervescent artistic scene that looks to the future.
Kiddy Smile will also be a member of the jury of the French TV show Drag Race France (French adaptation of Ru Paul’s Drag Race), to be broadcast in June on France TV and will be on a DJ tour in Europe with expected appearances at Sonar (Barcelona), Nuits Sonores and a Defected residency all summer in Ibiza.
