Xavier Dolan and the ice creams brand Magnum launched a contest of short movies, in partnership with i-D Magazine, nommé Vie Magnifique : Be true to your pleasure, on the theme of pleasure and personal achievement. We present you today the videos of the 3 winners of this contest : Kara Smith, Andrew Cumming and Patrick Downing. Each one gives a singular interpretation of pleasure. Kai, directed by Andrew Cumming (in collaboration with choreographers Aoi Nakamura and Esteban Fourmi, from AΦE), tells the story of a young lady trapped in a routine between subway, dance and solitude, who will end up by letting go to bring some joy in her monotone life. Zap, directed by Patrick Downing (in collaboration with Ari Seth Cohen of blog Advanced Style), shows that pleasure has no age through an old couple who wish to check if the electricity in her love is literaly still here. And Wild Space, directed by Kara Smith (in collaboration with Christian Watson), is a tale of a jealous fisherman who will catch one day his wife cheating on him ; he will challenge the lover in an old-style duel.
