Réalisé par Gaby Dellal, About Ray raconte l’histoire d’une adolescente, jouée par Elle Fanning, qui décide de changer de sexe et du combat de sa mère célibataire (Naomi Watts) pour faire accepter le nouveau sexe de son enfant. La mère doit trouver le père biologique (Tate Donovan) de sa fille pour avoir son accord définitif. Le film s’attache à dissocier orientation sexuelle et identité sexuelle. Il sortira le 18 septembre aux Etats-Unis.
